About Long County Criminal History

Long County criminal records are divided among the sheriff, clerks in Ludowici, the Georgia Crime Information Center, Georgia corrections, and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. This privately run resource organizes those official routes so readers can identify the office, portal, address, or phone line that actually holds the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Georgia divides access by custodian. The Long County sheriff keeps local reports, warrants information, and GCIC request services, but the county operates no jail. Court clerks keep charges and dispositions. GCIC maintains the state history repository, while GDC and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry serve separate purposes. The site brings those official contacts, fees, forms, and fallback routes into one Long County reference.

What You Will Find Here

  • Record guides: how criminal court case records are found and read in Long County
  • Official check steps: how name and fingerprint reviews work through GCIC and GAPS
  • Local contacts: routes to the sheriff, courthouse clerks, and Georgia record systems
  • Restriction information: how Georgia record restriction and court sealing differ

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Georgia court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file record-restriction petitions, records requests, or other paperwork
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the sheriff, court clerk, GCIC, or other originating agency can issue an official Long County criminal record.
